From the Field to the Front Lines of Workforce Planning: Meet Hector Lopez Jr.

How mentorship, grit, and a partnership perspective shape our approach to staffing.

When Hector Lopez Jr. talks about his career, he doesn’t start with stats or buzzwords—he starts with people. One in particular: Joe Richards, the entrepreneur and mentor who helped shape not just Hector’s career, but his outlook on leadership and life.

“I worked for Joe for six years, and I’d work for him again in a heartbeat,” Hector shared. “He didn’t just teach me about the industry—he taught me about how to treat people, how to show up for others, and how to lead with integrity.”

That mindset has followed Hector into every role since—including his new one at InflexionPoint. For him, staffing isn’t about filling seats. It’s about coaching, mentoring, and partnering—whether it’s with clients navigating workforce gaps or candidates searching for the right opportunity.

“As a recruiter, you’re coaching your associates. On the sales side, you’re coaching your clients and execs. It goes hand in hand.”

A lifelong New York sports fan, Hector proudly supports the Jets and Mets—teams that don’t always make it easy. “I suffer quite a bit,” he laughed. “But I show up every season. That loyalty and grit—it’s who I am.”

That persistence also defines his approach to client relationships. He’s not in it for the quick win. He’s here to build long-term trust, and he does it by staying engaged and showing up—literally. At a national staffing services firm, Hector spent his first six months visiting clients personally to repair neglected relationships.

“That’s where a smaller, more focused firm like InflexionPoint can really shine. We don’t let relationships slip. We’re present, and we’re invested.”

Hector sees staffing as an executive-level conversation—one rooted in long-term planning, not last-minute scrambling. It’s about helping organizations build resilient teams and thoughtful workforce strategies that grow with their goals.

Whether he’s coaching on the field or consulting in the boardroom, Hector brings the same energy, dedication, and strategic mindset to every interaction. We’re excited to have him on the team—and even more excited for what’s ahead.
